They say that the best things in life are free. Well, one of these "best things" that I really want right now is sleep. For several nights now, I've been having a hard time getting a good, 8 hr straight, undisturbed night rest. I'd find myself waking in the middle of the night (well, usually 3am) to go to the little ladies room, and when I get back to bed, it would be hard to go back to sleep. It's really frustrating.
Oh well.. I think I'll just tire myself to exhaustion and just fall on my bed to get that much need rest. Or should I pay for it instead? Oh Mr. Sandman! Please help me!

Foody Friday: Salsa!
By
Pampeem
Guys! I found a salsa recipe with the least ingredients and very easy to make (c/o A Cup of Jo), but still looks hot and delicious! Going to try it this weekend. Would you try it, too? :)

Telemomubo Thursdays: Brave
By
Pampeem
Warning: there might be some spoilers!
Brave is a story about a princess of old Scotland, Merida, who does not want to conform to traditions and values her freedom more than anything. Merida felt that enough was enough when she hears about her betrothal that would be competed upon by the first borns of each clan of the kingdom. And here, the conflict begins.
I was really excited to see this movie. First of all, it is a Pixar film, and we can always expect for the great cgi effects and heart-warming stories. I'm glad to say that Brave delivers in these aspects. Though the story is not an out-of-the-box type like Toy Story, The Incredibles, or Cars, it is still a solid plot. It is a princess story.
Many teenager girls (or who have been teenagers) would be able to relate to Merida. Though they are not princesses or bound by traditions, they do feel or have felt that they are/were "overly" controlled by their parents (especially their mothers).
What I am most excited about is that finally, we have a Scottish Disney Princess. This also means that the setting is in old Scotland, which is amazing! I've always been fascinated by Scotland, the people's passion, its culture, its magic, and of course, their accent. You can expect these represented in the film.
All in all, it is a solid film that everyone can enjoy. So if you haven't seen it yet, go and do! :)

Style Tuesdays: On a Rainy day
By
Pampeem
I know I skipped Monday, but I still have the same sentiments as I did last Whiny Monday: the bad weather, sickness. But I refuse to let this ruin my Style Tuesday. So in line with this dreadful weather, I created an ensemble that is comfortable, warm, and easy to move in, yet still very stylish.
